The Hextech Expo, due to open at the ION Orchard Singapore has been “destroyed” as a promotional activation for Riot Games’ TV series, Arcane, on Netflix Part of a global campaign, Hextech Expo locations in Paris, London, Madrid and Istanbul have seen similar disruptions, in what appears to be a coordinated effort from key character(s) in the hit series. Piltover, the fictional organization from Arcane and League of Legends, and host of The Hextech Expo have released a statement in the wake of the latest activity.
Reads the official statement from Piltover:
Good people of Singapore, we regret to inform you that we have to cancel the launch of the Hextech Expo in the aftermath of yet another unexpected ambush.
Following similar defilements of other Expos around the world, all of the valuable hextech inventions we had hoped to demonstrate for curious visitors were stolen and displays defaced.
Piltover Council is outraged by these heinous strikes and are working closely with wardens and enforcers to ensure that the miscreant responsible will be brought to justice and disciplined accordingly.
We have several eye-witness testimonies and physical evidence to link one prime suspect to the series of strikes. The culprit is thought to be a young Undercity female with a slim build and blue hair.
Please be warned she is dangerous and should not be approached under any circumstances. If any citizen has any knowledge of the possible offender, or knows the whereabouts of the stolen hextech goods, please reach out to the local enforcement who is treating this as a top priority case. We deeply regret that we are no longer able to share a glimpse into the future of hextech at present, but rest assured, this will not slow down the city’s continued progress and innovation.
Signed THE PILTOVER COUNCIL
The aftermath of the stunt is currently on display at ION Orchard Singapore, Level Basement 1.
