Opening its doors after extensive renovation on 15th October 2020, Ginger at PARKROYAL on Beach Road revealed a unique look that celebrates the abundance of Singapore’s natural beauty in the cosmopolitan city-state. The stunning ambience of Ginger is brought to life by award-winning Singapore-based Australian designer Emma Maxwell who playfully captured the spirit of ‘A City In A Garden’ by using natural raw elements such as timber and stone to complement the vibrant botanical design.
The spacious restaurant with a gorgeous private dining area beckons guests to retreat into a lush sanctuary, and tempts them with an irresistible à la carte buffet that showcases the best of Singaporean flavours. Ginger will also soon be halal-certified to welcome even more guests. The current menu is pork and lard-free. Individually plated, each dish on the buffet is picture-perfect for the eyes and the ’gram – ensuring that this à la carte buffet experience is unlike others. Guests can also be assured of top-notch ingredients and meticulous preparation – all sauces, for example, are homemade. Guests may scan a QR code for the digital menu that showcases more than 70 dishes, and thereafter select their preferred dish and portion size. All buffet items are free-flow and served to the table.
Highlights include the Braised Lamb Shanks Tulang, bursting with flavours as a result of first marinating the lamb shanks in Chef’s secret local spice blend, then slow cooking it for six to eight hours turns this humble dish into a scarlet-hued stunner. Or check out the Lobster Nasi Lemak, an upgraded take on a traditional breakfast staple includes blue pea aromatic rice and a halved Indonesian lobster. And of course, the famous Putu Piring (by Haig Road Putu Piring), soft rice flour kueh filled with oozy top grade gula Melaka straight from Malacca, served with coconut shavings on a banana leaf.
